Blackwood is, arguably, the most beautiful mountain village in Victoria. It is a delightful little township set in the mountains of the Wombat State Forest, just over one hour's drive from Melbourne, and about 25 minutes from Daylesford, Woodend or Kyneton.

Wherever you turn the views are of beauty and peace. Blackwood offers bush-walking and fishing, and is also home to the famous Garden of St Erth. The hotel and merchant are within walking distance of Woodbine Cottage, or barbeque next to the Lerdederg river at the popular Mineral Springs.
